About GG Solutions

Built for the Sydney engineering market.

I've spent years in recruitment across white collar, blue collar, and technical hiring, and the through-line was always the same: the placements that hold are the ones where someone actually understood both sides of the table. Engineering is where that matters most. The firms are precise, the talent is scarce, and the cost of a wrong hire is measured in project timelines, not just salary.

GG Solutions Australia is built around Sydney's civil, structural and geotechnical market because it doesn't behave like anywhere else. The major projects pipeline is its own beast, the consultancies here run tight ecosystems, and the talent pool is small enough that knowing it properly is the entire job. A generalist spread across thirty industries can't do that. A specialist who lives in this market can.

What I bring is a read on the hiring market itself: where the talent is moving, what firms are paying, why good engineers leave, and where offers fall apart. I'm not an engineer and I won't pretend to design anything. My discipline is people, and after enough years across enough desks, I know what a strong hire looks like before the interview confirms it.

When you work with GG, you deal with me directly. No account managers, no handoffs, no relationship that resets every quarter. You email me, I reply.

Civil, structural and geotechnical engineering is the core focus. When the right client needs a broader engineering or construction hire, the conversation starts the same way it always does, with a straight answer about whether I'm the right person to help.

How we operate

Three principles.

01

Specialist depth

Civil, Structural and Geotechnical, first and foremost. Sydney is the home market — NSW and the rest of Australia covered when the project calls for it. Depth in a defined market beats breadth across many.

02

Candidate-led

Start with strong candidates, then find them the right firm. The conversations that lead to a placement begin with knowing what an engineer wants next, not with a brief from a client.

03

Operator clarity

A solo operation. No account managers between you and the recruiter. Direct contact, fast turnaround, and the same person on every call from intro to offer.
